Here's the thing, blogging friends.
In one unsupervised 20 minute period this morning, my cherished laptop was lifted out of my office at MH & U...
Those of you who have been there, will know all about it.
Those of you who haven't, can't imagine.
ALL the sermons. ALL. All the emails.
Were they backed up to disc, the way I was told....surely you jest.
The Rambler goes, sackcloth in hand, in search of the nearest patch of ashes. An order has been placed for potsherds.
Gaaahhhhhhhh!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I am so sorry. All those sermons...heartbreak. Damn.
That's just awful... I assume the forces of law and order have been called in?
* hugs *
Well, that's the dose of sickening for the day.
I actually feel ill.

Yes the Finest have been sent for, and our film-production friends WILL REPLACE...but there were pictures, there were documents, HOOOOOOOWWWWWWL
Oh I'm sorry. :( That's my nightmare. Solved finally thanks to Apple and its new auto backup.
*shudder*
Oh no...oh no...oh...I have had that happen to me twice...the last time I had most (but not all) of my stuff on another computer...
Oh, no. That is bad. That is very bad. But -- it is a teachable moment. You don't want to hear that right now though. (((crimson rambler)))
so sorry!!!!!!
OH MY GOODNESS!!!! This is AWFUL. I just caught up on your last three posts, and my, you've been dealing with a lot. AND oh... I can feel your pain. Feel it acutely. I lost a journal once and that was hell. If I lost my laptop (or worse, had it stolen) aie.
Bless you.
Oh no! I'm so very sorry.
oh dear, I am just now reading this awful news. I am so sorry for the loss of words and pictures and brilliant ideas and e-mails.
Stealing from a priest! Shame on them. Perhaps it is too late, but Roman Catholic that I am, I must send up prayers to St. Anthony, patron of lost people and things, to see if he might aid in the recovery. I hope you don't mind.
With sympathy and loving thoughts....
Dear all -- thank you, again, for your kind companionship in this Dark Hour!
and suzanne, I think I already have St. Anthony on permanent retainer to attend to keys, glasses...pager...and so forth!
