Sweet. My training incombent was out of the country during my ordination...leaving me in hands of symbiotic associate (symbiotic to the rector)...shortly after ordination I was then the priest in charge for two weeks doing 8 liturgies a week - and preaching at all of them too.
Mother of three thoughtful, interesting, funny, grown-up kids, most in the vicinity for at least much of the year (I'm so blessed); grandmother of FOUR, count'em, FOUR amazing baby girls; ABSOLUTELY, finally, fully "retired"; ordained for the last 20+years; "late vocation" after first life as a university instructor in English; Anglican by virtue of English metaphysical poetry and the Book of Common Prayer (and by the grace of God); genetically Calvinist; INFP in the extreme.

So, how did Father's First Mass go?
It was quite beautiful -- although more nerve-racking to be Training Incumbent than to be Dance Recital Mother, by several degrees!
