Memes R Us...

How the Omnivore's 100 works:
1) Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.

2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.

3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating. (I'm going to put these in double brackets[[]] because I don't think Blogger supports strikethroughs).

4) Optional: Post a comment at Very Good Taste, linking to your results.

OK, so what IS pocky? (I could look it up but I'm sure your description would be more entertaining.) Did you eat currywurst in Berlin? When I was there it was the ubiquitous street cart food.

What are saskatoon berries? I'm impressed with how many different things you've at least tasted. I'm not that fearless!

Pocky is an oriental snack consisting of a sweetish crisp breadstick of which one end has been dunked in a chocolate coating. Curry wurst I have had at Tasty Tom's -- a local eatery -- there is a mild concentration of German groceries at this end of Prairie Metropolis. (But Weisswurst is my fave, mmmmmmm Weisswurst...)

and saskatoon berries are a kind of high-bush blueberry. They are a little coarser in texture and a bit blander in flavour than the standard blueberry...but they're very good and make pretty excellent pie, jam, etc. as well as wine!
